For Gekko Media Solution clients we aim to collaborate with leading Industry players across IPTV, Mobile and Internet to deliver more short format content that will be shared and distributed across social networking sites such as Hyves, Bebo, Myspace, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. WWF - Borneo and Palm Oil
Our latest 2 min short film for WWF (World Wildlife Fund) was created from existing footage and a very open brief about Borneo and the destructive effects of palm oil production on the environment. Nigel Gordon was the Producer, Sarah Shackley-Veneman the Marketing Consultant and Hans Ris did the editing, effects and music. It is intended for the internet and was completed on a small budget.

This music compilation clip for Micheline Van Hautem singing Jacques Brel songs was shot and edited within 1 1/2 weeks. Nigel Gordon was the Producer/2nd Cameraman, Sarah Shackley-Veneman was the Marketing Director, Willem-Hein Couwenberg was the 1st Cameraman and Hans Ris was the editor. Micheline Van Hautem is the singer and Erwin van Ligten is the guitarist.
Ad for TMZ a celebrity gossip magazine/tv show
We pitched this 27" ad to TMZ a celebrity gossip magazine/tv show located in America, to see whether it suited their consumer profile and approach. It was very low budget and from script to finished film took 1 week. Nigel Gordon was the Producer/Director, Sarah Shackley-Veneman was the Marketing Director and Writer. The actors were all local talent and Hans Ris was the Cameraman/Sound/Editor.
Ascentive
We recently completed work for our client Ascentive, who develop software for everyday PC problems. They wanted to increase their branding and awareness in The Netherlands and generate more traffic to their new stand alone Dutch site. Gekko MS advised on design and translation content for the website, as well as created ad copy for Google ads, to better captivate the Dutch audience and improve conversion rates. We also assisted with their search engine marketing, where we provided keyword lists in Dutch and categorized them, to ensure higher rankings in all local Dutch search engines. We provided a list of 2500 new keywords which rapidly improved their organic search ranking and tested this against their competitors.

Jonathan Marks: The Next Steps: Digital Broadcast Industry Trends
Gekko created this film for www.thinkdigitaltv.com and it is about digital broadcasting now and in the future. It's called "The Next Steps". It was produced on a tight budget to schedule and we hope it gives some insights into the broadcasting industry. Nigel Gordon was Producer/Director, Sarah Shackley-Veneman was the Marketing Director, Jonathan Marks, a highly experienced broadcast professional, was the interviewee and Hans Ris was the Cameraman/Sound/Editor. It was a 1 day shoot, with 4 days on Final Cut and Motion for the finished film.
Network of Women in Computer Technology
Network of Women in Computer Technology is a non-for-profit organization whose mission is to advance careers for professionals in Information Technology through education, mentoring and provide outstanding professional networking opportunities.
We were approached by NWCT to assist with their website in improving the look and feel of it. Further optmizing their website with fully functional SEO capabilities and attract new members to sign up in the Philadelphia area. Gekko Media Solutions set to work and firstly started changing some of their keywords and phrases by optimizing them. Also we investigated all the local IT business directories in the Philadelphia area and created links pointing to the NWCT website to improve rankings in the Google search engine. As a direct result of doing this NWCT's ranking has dramatically changed to being No 1 on Google from 1,110,000.
We also assisted NWCT with their Online Social Media. NWCT definitely wanted to move in this direction to create a buzz and this is what makes social media marketing work – this can be done with newsworthy events, videos, tweets, or blog entries that attract attention, and become viral in nature. It replicates a message through user-to-user contact. They already had set up a LinkedIn account and we created a Twitter and Facebook account for them. Now NWCT can update their members with all of the latest seminars that they arrange, job offerings and latest future trend announcements through discussion forums. As a direct result of all of these improvements, they have seen a significant increase of new members joining as well as a higher turnout of attendees at their Networking Seminars.

Vespaghetti.eu: an online shop for postcard and pictures with a french and culinary touch from South-African illustrator Frans Groenewald. Built with Joomla CMS system and Virtuemart shop component.
AnnHuybens.com: a website for Belgian fashion designer Ann Huybens with lots off imaging material on designer dresses and wedding outfits located in the city of Ghent. Tri-langual website with SlideShowPro photo-galleries built in the Joomla CMS system.
