The IBC (International Broadcast Conference) was held this year in Amsterdam between September 10th-September 15th 2009 and we both attended a very fascinating conference. They had more than 1,300 exhibitors and attendance was only 7% down from the previous year with over 45,000 people attending, which is very good considering the current economic climate.

This year they had the new Production Village, giving free film training seminars - which we both went to. They also had a free post production desktop training and business briefings on IPTV, Mobile and Digital Signage, together with conference sessions covering insightful developments in 3D, stereo 3D movies and a great Awards Ceremony, honouring some of the most innovative developments in their fields.

It was all very illuminating and showed us the importance of keeping upto date with the latest broadcast developments.
